Modeling column under collapse
Good afternoon,
i would like to ask you about modeling a column that has collapsed.
Can i describe the phenomeno by giving residual strength equal to 1% of the initial yield strength
(in strength degradation data)?
Thank you

Yes, Cannot go to zero but any number greater than zero will work. Ruaumoko has a default assumption that if the yield actions are zero the member is elastic, it would be embarrassing to degrade to zero and then suddenly become elastic.
