Question about Steel Bracing Members Modeling with Remmenikov Hysteresis (Num 24)
Hi.
I'm trying to model the steel brace using Remmenikov Hysteresis (Num 24).
In several references, location of plastic hinge is on center of member length for modeling of out-of-plane buckling of steel brace.
like this.
1 Steel Brace Member
/o--------------------------O---------------------------o/
(end) (elastic) (Plastic Hinge) (elastic) (end)
Is this same with Ruaumoko2D?
If answer is yes, How can I locate plastic hinge on center of member length?
(In Manual, Hyst 24-Remmenikov Rule is only available for Giberson One-component Beam and the Steel beam-column options of the Frame member type.
so, I could'nt use Spring Type member with Hyst 24-Remmenikov Rule for locating plastic hinge on center of member length.)
